Lisa, Nutrition Coach

Intuitive Eating

Growing up, Lisa was always an active and sports-oriented teenager. With plans to enter the health or fitness industry, she spent two years pursuing a degree in Kinesiology. During that time, Lisa’s health took an unexpected turn for the worst and she was later diagnosed with celiac disease. After consulting with a dietitian and making the necessary changes to her diet, Lisa gradually started to heal from the inside out. Through this experience, she gained a whole new appreciation for the power of proper nutrition on one’s health and wellbeing. Lisa immediately knew she wanted to pay it forward and help others with their own nutrition-related goals. She decided to switch majors and pursue a degree in dietetics.

In 2014, Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of Saskatchewan. She is a Registered Dietitian and licensed with the Saskatchewan Dietitians Association. Lisa currently resides in Yorkton, SK, working in primary health care in Diabetes Education as a RD and Certified Diabetes Educator. She is also a facilitator for Craving Change, a cognitive-behavioural program aimed to help individuals improve their relationship with food and address problematic eating behaviours, such as emotional eating.

Lisa joined the team at Vitality Nutrition in the fall of 2017. Her areas of interest include sports nutrition, weight management and digestive health. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys leading an active lifestyle. She joined Crossfit Function in Yorkton in 2016 and fell in love with the training and community of like-minded people. She plans to pursue her CrossFit Level 1 certification in the near future.
